Blogtober Day 31 - My (and Alisha's) Halloween Costume

HELLO SPOOKY FRIENDS! ahem. It's the final day of Blogtober *is sad a minute* *remembers it's HALLOWEEN* Happy Halloween! I hope you're all having a very spooky day :D Today's final *tear* Blogtober prompt is to share your Halloween costume!

I decided to put a twist on this post and bring out my American Girl Doll, Alisha who I got when I was like 9? 7? I think 7, I don't remember.. Anyways, some of you might remember her, I did a post way back in 2014 about her (v cringy) and also back in 2014 I did a photoshoot with her. Okay, let's get into this already :P

Can you guess what she is? xD

Close up of the beautiful front of the dress. I got this off of a giveaway and I love it.

Probably one of my favorite shots, she looks so beautiful <3

The shoes are really sparkly and gorgeous

The leaves never bothered me anyway!

Okay Alisha, scooch over, my turn!

Aww yeah guess what I am, a Hogwarts student! No, not Hermione Granger, just some random kid. Because I can. (do you know how long it took me to get this shot without smiling??)

Avada Kedavra! Haha, just kidding. I hope you all aren't dead. Oops.

My infamous selfie pose just to get that perfect emblem close up.

Look out she's got a broom! That's right, I'm a Quidditch player too. Take that Slytherin!

And I'm wearing Uggs because every Hogwarts student wears Uggs, duh.

She's caught the leaf! Er the Snitch!

*sassily flips robe away from you*

Of course my camera died at this exact moment so my best friend had to take this with her phone.

As you can see, I'm completely in love with my costume as you should be too.

I hope you guys enjoyed that! I really like seeing what people dress up as for Halloween xD Some people get really creative!

And also, let me know if you would like more Alisha photoshoots! I think she's a gorgeous doll and super fun to experiment with for photography!

Have a SPOOKTACULAR Halloween and I'll talk to you all in November ;)

Thanks for reading,

Blogtober Day 29 - DIY Candy Corn Banner

Hello everyone! Can you believe there's only 2 days left of October? I'm getting super excited for Halloween! So in spirit, for Blogtober today, I'm doing a DIY Candy Corn Banner! Keep reading if you want to learn how to make this cute banner!

You Will Need:

Something to make the color with! Options include: marker, crayons, paint, watercolor, washi tape/duct tape, ribbon, etc. Be creative with this!

Paper; this can be thick paper, cardboard, regular paper, construction, etc.

Scissors

String

Step 1:

The first step is to cut your paper. This is pretty self explanatory, basically you just cut out a triangle. I actually rounded the corners to make it look slightly more realistic. I cut 5 of these.

yes I took these outside because it was really nice

Step 2:

Now you add the color! In case you didn't know the order, bottom to top it goes yellow, orange, white. But you can use any color you want!

For my yellow, I did marker, very simple. You should definitely experiment with different elements for each color.

Now for the orange, I did some orange washi tape. I had some really cute orange polka dotted tape so I used it for this!

For the white, I just left it because I used white paper :)

Step 3:

Now cut a fairly long piece of string for the banner part :P Then, lay them down and attach the string using the tape. This is, again, pretty self explanatory.

Note: I've had some issues with this so here's a tip: hang up the string first with tape and then attach it, it makes things easier.

Step 4:

Everyone's favorite step: admire your work! Hang this up outside, in your room, etc. I put mine over my fireplace.

This is such an adorable DIY and I love how it turned out!

Let me know in the comments if you do this, and how it turns out! I'd love to hear from you guys :D

My linky isn't working so leave the link of your post down below ;)

I'M LITERALLY SO EXCITED FOR HALLOWEEN THIS ISN'T FUNNY OH MY WENTZ SPOOKY SPOOKY SPOOKY

Have a sweet day! (get it, sweet, candy corn? Okay I'll leave)

Blogtober Day 28 - What I Read in October

Hello everyone! I'm so so excited for this post, because well books. Today I'm going to be sharing what I read in October! This is not a very long list, sadly, because I've been trying to get into the gist of things with 4 honors classes, Blogtober, violin, soccer, etc etc etc. Of course, you don't want to hear me rambling about my problems, let's just get into the post.

City of Fallen Angels - Cassandra Clare

If you've been reading my bookish related posts this month, you'll know how obsessed I am with Cassandra Clare and anything TMI.

This book was fairly short, only like 300-400 pages (?) but I still enjoyed it. I would sadly have to say it was my least favorite of the series. Let's call it the Prisoner of Azkaban of The Mortal Instruments. AKA, I thought it was pretty boring and almost meaningless to the plot. The whole book was about Lilith, Lilith this, Lilith that. Sure the ending was pretty important, but other than that, eh.

The only great amazing thing about this book was that SIZZY SIZZY SIZZY. It begins in this book and this book is when I dedicated my entire life to shipping Sizzy.

City of Lost Souls - Cassandra Clare

Ah, what a surprise, the next book in the series. I really liked this book, it was on City of Ashes level for me (not quite as amazing as City of Glass but). I got extremely frustrated with Jace and Clary in this book. And I found myself saying "EW" several times out loud *cough cough* Sebastian ew get off Clary *cough*

Overall, I thought the plot was interesting. AND THE PLOT TWISTS. I feel like that's Cassie's specialty like woah yes. and more Sizzy ahahaha

City of Heavenly Fire - Cassandra Clare

I'm starting to tear up just writing this. OH DEAR WENTZ THIS BOOK. THE FEELS. THE SIZZY THE CLACE THE UGHU. I cried, I laughed, I screamed, this book gave me like 50,000 emotions. It came close to the Deathly Hallows for the most feel filled book of all time.

It was amazingly written and I loved it all. I just- don't even know how to describe how much I loved it, I just lOvEd it.

Scarlet - Marissa Meyer

Okay, now we're back off of Cassie onto something else. I did a mini review of this book before but I think I like it much better. It does get a bit faster, but I still would only give it like 3 maybe 3 1/2 stars.

I also felt like Meyer was kind of piling stuff in there, like a desperate student trying to meet all the requirements on an essay. I got confused, a lot, but that's probably because I'm actually a speed reader and skip over half of the page.

Overall, this book was pretty decent. I'm going to try to read Cress next month, I want to finish Cress and Fairest before Winter comes out :)

The Iron Trial - Holly Black and Cassandra Clare

And we're back to Cassandra. I enjoyed this book. It was pretty interesting. Although, I felt that it met a lot of the YA stereotypes. Typical kid, oh he's different!1!!1, he has 2 other friends: one of his gender, the other the opposite gender, so on and so forth.

I did like the concept of the 'elementals', I thought that was cool. I think some parts were a bit predicatable. Like the ending kind of blew me away (and I thought it was a bit too much) but I felt like Call was going to have something to do with the Enemy all along.

That was all that I read in October! I definitely reccomend all of these books, they're pretty great! Let me know down below if you're read any of these and how you liked them. I'd love to chat :D

Have a booktastic day!

Thanks for reading,
Noor

Blogtober Day 27 - Recent Music Favorites

Hello everyone! I did not realize today was DIY Halloween Decoration. Haha oops. So in order for me to have decent DIYs, I'm switching today's prompt with Thursday's. I'm going to my craft store today so I'll get some stuff for the décor ;) Anyway, today I'm going to be sharing my Recent Music Favorites. Let's a go!

The Emperor's New Clothes - Panic! At The Disco

ASDFGHJKL this is the best song I love it. Panic! released this song last Thursday (?), in time for the SPOOKY time. It's such a catchy, poppy, and kind of dark, yet deep song.

do not be alarmed by this thumbnail, remember that demon thing is this man:

Anyways, I really love this song. I love some of the lyrics as well: Heroes always get remembered but legends never die. If it feels good, tastes good, it must be mine. Very poetic Brendon.

Infinity on High - Fall Out Boy

I remember when I felt this same way about Folie A Deux, but that doesn't matter... THIS ALBUM OH MY GOSH YES YES I CAN'T LIKE WHAT HOW YES. Okay I better chill.

Thriller - This song starts out very interesting. It's a classic FOB rock song. I guess nothing special.
"The Take Over, the Breaks Over" - LOVE IT LOVE IT. Super catchy, super fun I really love it. We do it in the dark, with smiles on our faces.
This Ain't A Scene, It's An Arms Race - CLASSIC FOB, AMAZING SONG. Patrick like slays in this song. I feel like it's really deep in some sort. I just love it okay thanks bye.
Me and You (don't make me write the long song title please) - One of the more slowier songs on the album, but I still really like it. It's nice and pretty catchy.
Hum Hallelujah - I LOVE THIS SONG. It's really happy (I think) and it's nice and catchy and yes
Golden - This song is really freakin sad I don't like it, too sad I cry. It's REALLY deep and I love it's message but I just don't like the song. How cruel, is the golden rule?
Thnks Fr Th Mmrs - AGAIN, CLASSIC FOB, AMAZING FOB. I just love how this song starts out with that like tuba/trombone/thing, I freakin love that. And the music vid, pure gold.
Don't You Know Who I Think I Am? Very catchy, again, love the beginning. It's a really fun song and I just love the lyrics and ugh. They say quitters never win.
The (After) Life of the Party - This is one of my eh songs. It's okay, but definitely not my favorite on the album. It's a nice song, I like it, but it's not FOB's best.
The Carpal Tunnel of Love - YES YES YES YES. I love the darkness of this song, it's amazing. AND PETE'S SCREAMING IS WHAT I LIVE FOR OH MY GOSH.
Bang The Doldrums - I used to be obsessed with this song, but I've heard it so much that it's gotten a bit annoying. I like it, it's nice. Best friends, ex friends until the end, better off as lovers.
Fame < Infamy - Another darkish song which I basically live for. I love the lyrics of this song, it's a really catchy one. The kid was alright, but it went to his head.
You're Crashing, But You're No Wave - (what kind of song titles are these seriously) FAVORITE SONG ON THE ALBUM, PERIOD. I LOVE IT ALL ALL ALL. The lyrics, the beat, EVERYTHING. And everyone's looking for relief, United States versus disbelief.
I've Got All This Ringing In My Ears and None On My Fingers - (again, song title??) BEGINNING WOW LOVE IT. I also really love this song, oh my gosh wow it's amazing. I love the symphony in the background and how it fits in amazingly with the song.  Take one for the team, you all know what I mean.

Hungarian Dances: N. 5 in G Major

We're playing this in youth symphony and I love it. It's extremely difficult but I love how it all fits together. It's so much fun to play. I love the like bursts of fast and slow mixed in. It's a combination of dark and light, I just ahh.

I hope you liked that little 'music' update. I tried to mix in a bit of different genres. Maybe I'll make this a series, I really like doing this :)

I will definitely have that DIY post up Thursday, so look out for that ;)

Have a music filled day everyone!

Blogtober Day 26 - My Opinion On Makeup For Young Girls

Hello everyone! It's 10 PM so I'm just going to get into it. Today I'll be doing a post on My Opinion On.. Makeup on young girls (my age, ish) Let's go!

So I was walking through my school, casually trying to get to a class when I see a group of  6th grade girls giggling about. What took me back was not the fact that the bell was going to ring in a minute and they should not be standing around, but the bright blue eyeshadow on their eyelids.

When did that happen? For Pete (Wentz)'s sake, you're 11 years old, the only thing you should be applying on your face is face wash!

I think an acceptable age to wear makeup is maybe like a tinted lip gloss in 6th grade and maybe maybe a light mascara in 7th grade, if your parents allow. But like no one should be wearing full on eyeshadow and a (really bad) winged eyeliner at 12. It's not necessary, let your skin be free!

I'm not going to lie, I've gotten a couple of those Claire's makeup sets for my birthday and I do play around with them sometimes but I would never dream of wearing it to school!

What I honestly want to know is why. Does makeup make you feel prettier? Do you wear it to make you feel cool?

"You don't need makeup at such a young age, your skin is young and beautiful and doesn't need harmful substances on it. It makes it worse for your skin when you grow up". -quote my mom who feels very strongly on this subject.

I just really don't like the idea of makeup in middle school, it's not needed, and you most likely aren't going to apply it well. Embrace the time when you don't need makeup and maybe wait a couple years before diving into that stage.

I hope you guys enjoyed this and that you also would love to chat about this! Leave me a comment down below letting me know how you feel on this, I'd love to talk to you! We can all have a full on discussion in the comments :P

Have a lovely rest of your day <3

Blogtober Day 25 - Sunday Sunshine #1

Hello everyone! Instead of calling today's prompt a boring old 'This Week', I've come up with a new name! 'Sunday Sunshine', cute isn't? Ah well, you're probably wondering what I've been up to this week so let's find out!

This Week I Posted

New Friends That Joined the Party

Into My Life

Phew, a lot of things happened this week in my life.

-I aced my math test! Woohoo, it bumped my average up to a 98. It literally made my week

-On a sadder note, I had like a wave of sadness because Fall Out Boy meet and greet tix sold out in like 20 seconds poopity poop poop poop

-I got around to watching the new Goosebumps movie and it was decent. Jack Black was like amazing, and it was a pretty creepy movie. Recommended for scaredy cats like me who hate horror movies!

-My two friends and I are starting a business around our neighborhood. We're selling little bars called ARC bars (combination of our last names) that we make ourselves! I might do a recipe on how to make them. We have Sun, Moon, and Star Bars. I think they're the cutest thing!

-I've been intensely slacking on NaNo planning and it's killing me. I haven't even touched my outline. There's less than a week left, I need to step my game up :P

IMPORTANT!
I'm looking for a writing buddy group! If you're planning on doing NaNo this year, please email me here because I'd love to start a group with you! Or if you have a group that's willing to accept me, please let me know. I need some writing friends xD

On Social Media..

Goodreads: I've been much more active on my Goodreads, which you can find here! Mostly, I've been wanting to read:

Six of Crows - My favorite Booktuber raved about this book, so naturally I have to check it out.

Court of Thornes and Roses - I've heard soo many good things about this book, I NEED IT

Carry On - Rainbow Rowell? Follows Simon Snow? SIGN ME UP.

Pinterest: Haven't been that active on Pinterest but here are two things that I love that I pinned this week.

(not mine) Okay but how cute are these fonts. I love Pumpkin the most, but they're all so amazing!

But. SIZZY. (not mine)

Blogging Buzz

-I'm close to 60 Bloglovin' followers and I hit 120 GFC followers *dances*

-I actually don't have a set of favorite posts this week. I loved everyone's and really cannot pick out 3-4. Ooopsie.

Well that was a lot wasn't it! I might do these more in the future, it's nice to just chat with you guys!

Have a great week, let's all make a goal to do something good this week :)

Blogtober Day 24 - Things I Do On a Lazy Day

Hello everyone! Wow, today was an eventful day. I tried my first pumpkin spice latte! It wasn't bad but currently I'm on a caffeine rush. I also watched the new Goosebumps movie and I loved it.

For Blogtober today, I'm talking about things I like to do on a lazy day, which is pretty much every Sunday for me :P Let's get into the post!

Mindlessly browse social media on my phone

I tend to waste most of my lazy days on my phone, in bed. I'll check Bloglovin, Instagram, Pinterest, talk to friends, the norm. Yes that is Pete Wentz on my lock screen and it's probably one of my favorite pictures of him because look at that man I mean come on.

Mindlessly browsing social media..on my computer

Sometimes if I feel like I want to switch things up, I'll move my browsing experience to the computer. I know, I'm such a daredevil huh. If I feel productive, I might edit some photos, but usually it's just endless Tumblr scrolling.

I also enjoy watching Youtube videos on my computer so I can see my sons (Dan and Phil) faces bigger.

Reading. A lot.

I am your average speed reading bookworm, or should I say book devourer because I basically swallow my books. No, I suck them into my soul. In like 4 hours or so, I can read at least 2-3 books straight. Reading is like my favorite thing to do on a lazy day. Hanging out with a cup of tea reading, it's like a utopia.

Netflix

I knew it was coming, you knew it was coming. Let's face it, a lazy Sunday isn't a lazy Sunday without a binge watch session. I'm currently rewatching all of the Scrubs episodes because I am absolute Carla trash, she is queen.

Netflix + food = HEAVEN ON EARTH

(Attempting ) to do some DIYs

See, I don't just pin DIYs I like, I do em. And if they're decent, I'll do a post on them! (There's a lottt of DIYs in the schedule for November, trust me) I love trying out new things and remaking bland things in my house into something new!

Today, I painted and washi tape-ified this wooden N. I don't think this needs a tutorial, just have fun with adding things like paint, ribbon, fabric, tape, etc.

Being extremely productive lol jk

As I am a very responsible person, during a lazy day, when I have a lot of freetime, I get all my homework done! I write blog posts in advance, I outline my novel, and I complete my to-do list. Then I have loads of free time the next day!

Haha sike. I'm a huge procrastinator. Right now I have 4 pages of math homework and a science test to do, but I'm wasting time doing this. I should really put the computer down.

Planning world domination

One day, I'm obviously going to take over the world. You might as well accept me as your queen. But unfortunately I have to get an education like all the mere mortals and blah blah blah. But, why not start planning my domination!

In my spare time, I like to come up with ways to make everyone obey me, just so I can save some time for myself in the future.

Well I hope you liked that kind of post! Lazy days are one of my favorite kinds of days; chilled and relaxed!

What's your favorite thing to do on a lazy day? I'd love to hear your thoughts, let me know!

Also, my friend Rukiya is having a Halloween Prompt Night, I invite you all to check it out! It seems like loads of fun :) All the rules and prompts are on her blog!

Have a lovely day guys, and stay wonderful :)

Blogtober Day 23 - Qualities of a 5 Star Book

Hello everyone! I'm very excited for today's Blogtober prompt. It's to do something that you've never done on your blog before. And as I was browsing through my posts trying to figure out what the heck I haven't done yet, I noticed I have no posts about books. Well, yeah I do have book reviews but not a proper post where I just talk about books in general. So, here you are today: The Qualities of a 5 Star Book.

I'm a very strict rater. I don't just give 5 stars to any old book. No, they have to be special. They have to be almost perfect. Here are some things I'll look at before rating a book 5 stars.

1. The main character isn't really dumb

This rule is the only reason I didn't rate Divergent 5 stars. Because Tris made some extremely idiotic decisions that made me actually want to SCREAM

I don't want some main character who's going around doing whatever the heck they want to, you have a job, it's not to be stupid.

2. I actually knew what the heck was going on half of the time

A lot of books that I have been reading lately have left me like:

Too many books go too fast and no one knows what happened. I get extremely confused sometimes so I praise authors who write AMAZING books and manage to keep me on track through the whole book. I'm not saying I don't like fast paced, action books, I'm saying I don't want to be confused while trying to enjoy leisurely reading time. Please and thank you.

3. The plot was interesting and seemed well thought out

I'm looking at you Matched series. I rated the Matched series like a 2 out of 5 because of its horrible plot. Seriously plot is everything, plot is literally everything. Matched to me felt like Condie was just adding things on as she went and that bothers me because it was a lot. And it was not well thought out at all.

I like a nice plot to keep me in, a plot that makes me never want to put the book down. I like something different in each plot, I don't mind a little twist on another story, I just want it to have something that other books don't.

For example, The Iron Trial by Holly Black and Cassie Clare is clearly a spinoff of Harry Potter. And I don't mind, I'm really enjoying it. The plot is different from HP, it has some very interesting things that I haven't seen in other books (except for maybe TMI but that's because Cassie wrote it). That's the kind of plot I'm looking for. Cassie Clare's books are a great example of this because they usually meet both of my requirements.

4. An emotional book that leaves me laughing/yelling/crying out loud

These books are my favorite books of all time. If a book can make me laugh, yell, or cry out loud it's probably amazing. I want a book that isn't bland. A book with no emotion is kinda just some pieces of paper with scribbles.

5. Amazing cover and good title

Okay this is a bit excessive. I mean, if a book met those requirements up there, I'd rate it 5 stars. But if a book had an amazing cover and a good title then I'd probably like it even more.

I'm a sucker for pretty covers. I have two sets of the Hunger Games just so I could get the foil covers. As for the titles of books, I do love a good title that relates to the books, but it's creative. Okay Harry Potter does not meet this requirement and the Hunger Games doesn't either xD But I love titles such as A Wrinkle In Time, the HoO series titles, stuff like that.

Hope you guys enjoyed that book related post, it was fun to write! I love gif filled posts, they're so much fun :D

I would love to see what you guys come up with for your prompt today, so link your post down below if you participate!

Blogtober Day 22 - Halloween Pinterest Roundup

Hello everyone! I actually really hate today's Blogtober prompt to be honest, I find Pinterest roundups really boring to write but oh well. I'm supposed to be sharing some Halloweeny stuff on Pinterest things that I want to try..

x

This the cutest thing! I'd do this if it weren't too cold where I am...

link lost

I love this because it's literally so simple but so cute. It also saves carving time for people who don't like to carve!

x

Ah I love the Nightmare Before Christmas, I really want to try this! Jack Skellington is my husband, just saying..

x

I'm not a baker, but if I ever did take on a challenge, this is what I'd do. Witch hat cupcakes? That looks amazing and probably tastes amazing too.

x

Hooray, I've finally found something to put up on my door! Definitely doing this, it looks so easy and amazing! Plus I probably won't have to spend much money.

I hope at least one of you enjoyed that... If I do one of these, I'll be sure to do a DIY and let you know how it turned out ;)

Tomorrow's Blogtober prompt is to do something on your blog that you've never done before. I invite all of you to do this because it really takes you out of your comfort zone and I think it's interesting to see what all of you will do!

Blogtober Day 21 - A Letter To Me in 5 Years

Hello everyone! How is your day going so far? I hope it's going great! Today for Blogtober, you have to write a letter to yourself in 5 years. This is an interesting one.. Let's get into it :)

Dear 16 year old Noor,

Hey, how's it going? It's you, when you were 11, you know the awkward time when you were trying to figure out to do with your life. Has life gotten better? I'm currently in 7th grade, (duh), and middle school is going well. I'm having trouble with time management and getting overwhelmed...I hope you find a solution to that.

Is Doctor Who still running? That would be pretty amazing, there's like the 15th Doctor now or something xD Is Fall Out Boy still together? I hope so. Are they still meme emo dads? What color is Pete Wentz's hair now? Have you gone to see them again? And how was the March 2016 concert, pretty sick I can guess! Harry Potter is still in the rage, I assume, because it's well Harry Potter, I mean come on. Has Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them come out yet?  They promised 2016, but I'm not sure.

The most obvious question is, do you still have this blog? If you do, great job! That's like what, 5-6 years?! You deserve a high-five because that's amazing. What's it called now? Have you actually decided on its purpose because at the moment I have no clue what this blog is for.

How about violin and soccer? I hope you haven't ditched either, but I understand if you did. Currently, they're my passions, I love them, but you might think differently in the future. I get it. I hope I get better at both of them, I want to be amazing at either.

Is high school that bad? I've heard many things, but how is it? Are you playing varsity for the school? Because if you are, that's wonderful and I look up to you and I aspire to be you. I can assume there's a lot of challenges in life, it must be difficult as a senior. But hey, you get to go college next year, I hope you (we) get into Harvard, it's my dream school right now. I bet you're scared, and don't worry, I'd be too. Wait, what? Anyways, good luck, I know we can do it. (I'm saying good luck to myself, oookay)

I hope life is going great, and if you ever feel sad, that's okay. Just please keep going, I know you have it in you! I believe in you, and you should too.

~Your 11 year old self

I hope you guys enjoyed that little post :) It was interesting to write, what would I want to ask my 16 year old self? There's definitely a lot that I'd want to know about the future, how my life is going, etc.

If you decide to participate in Blogtober today, link your post down there so we can take a peek at your letter ;)

Thank you all for your kind comments and support, it does mean a lot! And how is there only 10 days left in October? Boy, time really does fly!

Blogtober Day 20 - The Halloween Tag

Hello everyone! It's 11 days from Halloween, ah I'm so excited! *doesn't know what they're going to be yet* Today's Blogtober prompt is to do the Halloween tag! The questions are all here by the way :)

1- What year did you first go trick-or-treating?
I think I was like 3, I know I wasn't a baby like most kids. My parents didn't even know about Halloween when they came here so we didn't go until I knew what it was xD

2- Favorite kind of candy?
Probably Sweetarts. They're literally the best. I love sweet/sour candies. Especially the fruity ones, like Sweetarts. Junior Mints are probably second.

3- What are you going to be this year?
I have many options but I think I want to be a Quidditch player

4 - Favorite costume you've had?
A couple of years ago I was Katniss and I had a sick costume. I got the bow and arrow and everything and it was perfect.

5 - Favorite spooky creature?
Probably ghosts because I'd want to be friends with one, like one of the Hogwarts ghosts.

6 - How hyped do you get for Halloween?
REALLY HYPED. If you haven't already noticed, I love Halloween it's like one of my favorite times of year.

7 - Halloween Pinteresty thing that you've always wanted to try?

not mine

This looks so cool. I've never done crayon melting before, and on a pumpkin? That looks amazing.

8- Favorite part of Halloween?
Spending time with my friends. We all come closer at Halloween and just have loads of fun. Sure, candy is amazing but I feel like friend time is more precious than something you eat in a day. You can cherish those memories with friends forever.

9 - Orange or black?
Black because it's dark and more Halloween themed, you get me? Orange is bright, not really how I think of Halloween.

I hope you enjoyed that tag! I tag anyone who loves Halloween to do this :D

If you do this tag, link up down there so I can see your wonderful Halloween answers!

Have a wonderful Wednesday/Thursday/whatever day you're reading this on.

Thanks for reading,
Noor

Blogtober Day 19 - DIY Leaf String

Hello everyone! Why do I always find myself writing DIY posts at the last minute with bad, unedited photos? We may never know. Today's Blogtober prompt was to share a DIY you did. Yesterday, I made a little leaf hanger string thing for my room so I decided to share that with you :) Enjoy!

You Will Need
-Some leaves (mine are fake but you can always dry real leaves)
-Thread
-A fairly long, thickish stick
-Yarn (not shown)

Step 1

The first step is to attach your thread onto your stick. What I did was tie the thread around and knot it twice. To secure, I stuck a piece of tape so it wouldn't move around. Then cut to your desired length. Add around 4-6 of these. (it depends on how long your stick is)

Step 2

The next step is to attach your leaves to your string. You can do this many ways: using tape, glue, hot glue, Mod Podge, stapling. Really any way. My leaves were very uncooperative and regular glue and tape did not work. So I had to resort to hot glue. I put around 3-4 leaves on each string but again, it depends on how long your string is.

My best advice is that if it works, clear tape and glue is the best way to go because it looks the neatest. I have a bunch of hot glue globs on the back of my leaves, not very attractive.

(I thought this step was pretty self explanatory so I did not include a picture, and also my picture sucked)

Step 3

Now you're ready to put it up! Once again, this can be done many ways but I chose to do it a simple way. I took 2 pieces of yarn the same length, tied it to the stick and taped the ends of those to my wall. Very simple, yet effective.

Step 4

This is completely optional but I thought it would be cute and a nice personal touch to attach some pictures or quotes onto the strings. I added a little 'hello fall' and 'autumn <3' sign to mine to fill up the space :P But I thought that some Polaroids or like little pictures would be really nice to put on there!

Step 5

Admire your work! You have now created a very fallish décor piece that took less than half an hour! Pat yourself on the back, take a few pictures! (Hopefully they turn out better than mine)

I used my phone for these as my camera would not cooperate with me -.-'

I hope you guys enjoyed that little DIY and if you do it, let me know how it went! Also, if you do a DIY post for Blogtober today, link it up down below :D

Have a wonderful rest of your day and I'll talk to you tomorrow in the next day of Blogtober when I do the Halloween tag! If you want to check out the questions here.

Thanks for reading,

Blogtober Day 18 - This Week

Hello everyone! Today's prompt for Blogtober is This Week. So here's a quick recap of what my week went like..

This Week...

I've Been Loving

~Reading a lot~

I've been reading a lot more in these past couple months and this week I've finished two books. It's like they disappear into thin air.

~Decorating my room for fall~

I've been redecorating my room a lot and it's been really fun! I got some really pretty things and I also made some of it. I'll share one of them tomorrow :D

I've Been Reading

~Scarlet - Marissa Meyer~

I sort of liked this book, it was decent, but not as great as Cinder. I did a mini-review on the blog here and a full review on my Goodreads here.

~The Iron Trial - Holly Black and Cassandra Clare~

Of course, another Cassie Clare book. I'm enjoying this so far, it's very interesting. Although, unlike Scarlet, it's a bit too fast. I find myself asking when did this happen and what's going on a lot. It also seems rather similar to Harry Potter, but I don't care much about that.

I've Been Listening To

~Pentatonix's new album~

I'm in love with this! Most of the songs are fantastic although a few of them are a bit too sad for me. I love First Things First and Ref, they are such catchy songs. I also love their covers of Lean On and Where Are U Now, they make the songs so beautiful!

Blog Posts I Love

My week was pretty great overall, a bit stressful, but nice. Hopefully next week will be even better :)
