2015 Resolutions

Hello everyone! Happy New Year! Well, almost. But since it is my last post of 2014, I'm gonna say it anyway. Today I am telling you about my resolutions for 2015 and I am doing a roundup of my best posts of 2015. First, the resolutions.

Put effort into my soccer and instruments. Soccer and music are big parts of my life and I really want to get good at them. I really need to practice more and put all my effort and do my best.

Put time into blog and posting. My blog means a lot to me and I care about my blog so I want to put time and effort into all of my posts

Do more things. I feel like I am too bored all the time and that I just sit around and do nothing so I would like to try to do more things.

Stay optimistic. Right now, I have been very negative and that makes me upset and depressed. In 2015, I want to be optimistic and try to make the best out of bad things.

Keep up the good grades. My main goal is to get into Harvard and I can't do that if I don't get good grades in school.

Stay Healthy. I am really skinny and I don't eat very much so I want to try to exercise and eat more foods.

Now for the post roundup, by month.

February: Fun Day By The River
March: Saturday Boy Book Review

App Review: Evernote

Hello everyone! Today I am going to do a break from the holidays. On Monday, I am going to start doing New Years DIY's and fun stuff. But today I am going to be reviewing an app called Evernote which is a great app and I love it!

The Basics
Evernote is a place where you can keep track of a bunch of different stuff: like lists, ideas, links, and much much more!

I Use It For....
I use Evernote for keeping track of my shopping lists, or things I might need for an upcoming craft. Sometimes I will also keep my blog post ideas in one note. One of the main things I use it for linking to posts and stuff I like. If I see a cool pic on Pinterest, I might add the link to a note so I can check it out later.

My Personal Opinion
If you are a person who is disorganized, get this. If you are a blogger, get this. If you are a person who has a bajillion pieces of paper filled with ideas and stuff you like, get this. Evernote is probably one of my most favorite apps/websites ever. GET IT. NOW.

The only problem is, it takes up a lot of space on your device. On my phone, Evernote takes up 1.3 GB.

How You Can Get This
It is available on the App Store for iPad, iPhone, and iPad. It is also a website which you can find here.

OFFICIAL RATING: 4 999.9/1000

12 Days of Holiday Fun: (Day 5) How To Have Fun During Break

Hello everyone! I am so sorry about yesterday, I lost track of time and totally forgot to post. But today I have some tips and stuff for you to do over the holiday break!

QUICK TIPS:
-Try to find things that won't make a mess
-Be creative
-Always ask a parent before you do something extreme
-Don't procrastinate, if you have work to do, do that first.

1) Clean out your room/closet

I know this may sound even more boring, but it can be helpful. Thursday I'll be taking a break from holiday stuff and writing a post to help you with cleaning out your room.

2) Make something

Walk around your house and pick up something that is old that you can DIY. You can even make up your own recipe! (A good tip page is here.)

3) Make some gifts

Tis' the season for giving! Make some gifts for your friends, family, and teachers. Here are some of my posts where you can make something: 1 2 3

4) Invite your friends over

Have a ball with your friends! Dance, play games, and talk! Comment "super cool post" if you want to see a post on what to do when your friends come over.

Saturday

12 Days of Holiday Fun: (Day 4) DIY Gift Crafts

Hello everyone! Today, I am FINALLLYYYY doing that craft post. I have two crafts for you. Let's get into the post! IT IS LONG. JUST A WARNING.

DIY "Reasons Why I __You" Heart Chain

YOU WILL NEED:
Paper
Markers
String or pipecleaner
Tape

STEP 1:

Take one piece of paper and fold in half. On the crease, cut out a half-heart. Do this a couple of times (depending on how many hearts you want.

It should look like this. (I chose to do 4 of them)

STEP 2:

Now, think about what you like about the person you are giving the gift to. On each heart, write one reason.

STEP 3:

I was lazy and I taped each heart onto a pipecleaner but you can cut holes in the top of the heart and string them onto a piece of twine or yarn.

You can put them in a cute little bag like this and then you're done!

Little Book Of Quotes

YOU WILL NEED:
Paper
Quotes
Pen

STEP 1:

Make a book like thing (we all know how to do this)

STEP 2:

Start writing little quotes. My favorite is: "Life is a journey, not a destination"

Now you're done! VOOOOOIIILLLAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! VOILA

I hoped you enjoyed these crafts as much as I did!

Thanks for reading,
Noor

Friday

12 Days Of Holiday Fun: DIY Sugar Scrub (Day 1)

Hello everyone! Today I am starting a new series called "12 Day of Holiday Fun" where I will be doing 12 posts filled with holiday crafts, bucketlists, photoshoots, and much more! Today I am showing you guys how to make a very simple gift: the sugar scrub!

YOU WILL NEED:

1 cup of sugar
1/2 cup of olive or coconut oil
Essential oils (optional)
A plastic or glass container

Step 1:

First, mix your sugar and oil together. Make sure you mix it good!

It should look like this when you are done:

Step 2:

Add a few drops of essential oil and mix well.

I used peppermint for a more holiday feel.

TO USE:

Rub in circles on the place where you want to get smooth. (English would be nice Noor) And wash off gently.

A FEW TIPS:

-Coconut oil makes your skin very soft and smooth.
-If you want to add some peppermint, ginger, or pine essential oils, you can make it holiday themed.
-If you are going to use in the shower, don't put a tag or anything, it will ruin the container.

I hope you guys enjoyed the very first day of the 12 Days of Holiday Fun and stay tuned for Day 2! This makes my skin so soft and smell good!

Noor

A Little Bit More About Me

Hello everyone! You asked for lots and lots of lifestyle posts so that's what I'm going to be doing until Friday (my next post). I decided to do a mini Facts About Me post, again, for you guys, sharing some information about myself that you might have not known.

1) I am 10 years old. (Well, duh)

2) I am a Muslim, and love my one and only God, Allah. I can't believe I've never said this before because religion is a big part of my life and always will be.

3) Doctor Who is love, Doctor Who is life.

4) My celebrity crush is Matt Smith.

5) I'm in 6th grade.

6) Mia Hamm is my role model.

7) I DIY everything. Like everything.

8) I play soccer, a lot.

9) It is veryyyyyy cold where I live.

10) Turtles are my favorite animals.

Now for an FAQ

What program do you use for editing?
I actually normally don't edit my pictures but when I do, I use PicMonkey because it is free and very easy to use.

How do you make your blog so interesting?
Trust me, I get this one a lot. I usually try to be myself. I make cheesy jokes and act crazy at school, so I put that into my blog and then people find it funny and interesting.

Why do you blog?
I blog because it is fun. It makes me happy and gives me something to do. Also, I want to try to make other people happy and so they have something to do.

I hope you enjoyed today's post and I still need 8 more votes for the contest in order to do it!

Thanks for reading,
Noor

November Favorites

Hello everyone! You voted "Lifestyle" so I am going to do my November favorites post. I haven't done one of these in the longest time. Hope you enjoy!

FOOD

Tea

Lately I have been obsessing over tea. About a week ago, I went to the store and got some Cinnamon Apple Spice Tea and it is amazing. It's caffeine free and great for fall.

Pumpkin Scones

Starbuck's pumpkin scones are life. They taste so delicious and have that pumpkin sugar taste to it.

BEAUTY

Willa Face Wash

My Willa face wash is amazing. It works very well and I get pimples often but ever since I have been using this product, my face feels like awesomeness. You can find the website here.

Baby Lips

A lot of girls in my grade have started to wear makeup but I didn't want to wear a lot. My mom got me a pack of Baby Lips and they are awesome. They keep you from having chapped lips and work as a tinted lip gloss.

APPS

Instagram

I love using Instagram to share pictures with my friends and classmates. It's a really fun app but you have to be safe and not give any really personal information.

Sims Freeplay

I've kind of been obsessed with this game. It is so fun and addictive, I can't stop re-designing my houses. It is free on the app store so be sure to check it out.

FASHION

Sweaters

I love my sweaters. They are so soft and comfy and I wear them all the time. Half of the things I bought on Black Friday were sweaters. Not kidding.

Fuzzy Socks

FUZZY SOCKS ARE AMAZING. I'm wearing them right now and they make my feet all warm and cozy and I just love them.

BOOKS

Mark of Athena

I recently did a Heroes of Olympus book talk and this one was my favorite. It is full of action and adventure and Rick Riordan is amazing.

Mockingjay

I actually went to see Mockingjay but I never finished the book.....oooopppssss. So before the 2nd part came out (in a year, sadly) I decided to read the book. IT WAS AMAZING!! I'll be doing a book talk on it soon!!

SONGS

Jar of Hearts, Christina Perri

Lips Are Moving, Meghan Trainor

That's all for today folks! I hope you enjoyed and if you would like me to review any of the things above, pleaseeeee let me know!

Thanks for reading,
Noor

What To Do Over The Weekend

Hello everyone! I hope you had a fun Thanksgiving! Today is Friday and the weekend starts tomorrow! So, I am going to show you how to have a fabulous weekend!!!!! YAY

1) Watch a movie. There are a lot of interesting movies that have recently come out such as Mockingjay Part 1, Big Hero 6 and many more! You can bring a friend along and have lots of fun.

Source

2) Read. Go to your bookshelf and pick out a random book. Sometimes when I get so bored I read the book to my stuffed animals. *runs from computer*

Source

3) Organize your bedroom. This is a very fun activity for me! Many bloggers, youtubers, and Instagrammers have posted about this and you can get some good inspiration from Pinterest!

Source

4) Write on your blog. Go read some blogs for inspiration and then write a good post! Check out my guest post on KBC for some tips!

Source

5) Read some other blogs. My favorites: Snow Flake Sparkles BlogReflections of a Jolly GirlCurious Pieces,  Night Writer's Diary,  and What Lexie Loves

Source

6) Explore Tumblr. If your parents allow you, make a Tumblr account and just browse! My favorite tag is Doctor Who....oops.

Source

7) DIY something. Look around your house and find something bland. Then go ahead and decorate it! Be sure to ask your parents/guardian first so they don't get angry. I learned that the hard way.

Source

8) Go crazy on Netflix. One of my fave things to do on the weekend is watch Netflix movies. If you need some advice on what to watch, check out my post that I posted recently!

9) Listen to music. Grab those earbuds/headphones and have a dance party! This helps you let loose and just let it all out!

Source

10) Organize your desk. I just organized my desk and it felt really good. It is super fun and you might even find some stuff you didn't even know you had!

I hope you enjoyed! Have a great weekend everyone! Also, please vote for Sunday's post because I want to do a room décor post but I don't know if you would like to see that.
