What To Do Over The Weekend

Hello everyone! I hope you had a fun Thanksgiving! Today is Friday and the weekend starts tomorrow! So, I am going to show you how to have a fabulous weekend!!!!! YAY

1) Watch a movie. There are a lot of interesting movies that have recently come out such as Mockingjay Part 1, Big Hero 6 and many more! You can bring a friend along and have lots of fun.

2) Read. Go to your bookshelf and pick out a random book. Sometimes when I get so bored I read the book to my stuffed animals. *runs from computer*

Source

3) Organize your bedroom. This is a very fun activity for me! Many bloggers, youtubers, and Instagrammers have posted about this and you can get some good inspiration from Pinterest!

Source

4) Write on your blog. Go read some blogs for inspiration and then write a good post! Check out my guest post on KBC for some tips!

Source

5) Read some other blogs. My favorites: Snow Flake Sparkles BlogReflections of a Jolly GirlCurious Pieces,  Night Writer's Diary,  and What Lexie Loves

Source

6) Explore Tumblr. If your parents allow you, make a Tumblr account and just browse! My favorite tag is Doctor Who....oops.

Source

7) DIY something. Look around your house and find something bland. Then go ahead and decorate it! Be sure to ask your parents/guardian first so they don't get angry. I learned that the hard way.

8) Go crazy on Netflix. One of my fave things to do on the weekend is watch Netflix movies. If you need some advice on what to watch, check out my post that I posted recently!

9) Listen to music. Grab those earbuds/headphones and have a dance party! This helps you let loose and just let it all out!

10) Organize your desk. I just organized my desk and it felt really good. It is super fun and you might even find some stuff you didn't even know you had!

I hope you enjoyed! Have a great weekend everyone! Also, please vote for Sunday's post because I want to do a room décor post but I don't know if you would like to see that.

The Average Tween

Hello everyone! Today, we are going to discuss..... tweens. Tweens are girls who are almost teens so 10-12 year olds. See if you can match up with any of these!

THE AVERAGE TWEEN......

-Has a phone or iPod. There is literally no one in my school who does not have some sort of phone or music device. NO ONE

-Tries to look pretty. I do this, I have panic attacks sometimes about my appearance so I spend an hour getting ready. It doesn't happen all the time but it does happen.

-Has a BFF. Or at least someone who you call your BFF. This girl cares for you and knows ALL of your secrets. Shoutout to my BFF, Farah!

-Has a hobby. Whether it is drawing or taking selfies, every tween girl has a hobby.

-Takes about 2-5 selfies a day. No joke, girls at lunch are taking selfies allll the time. STOP WITH THE 1000000000 SELFIES!

-Has an Instagram. I have an Instagram, and I obsess over it. But, I share stuff with my friends and you guys so its not a big deal. But some of my friends have Instagram and post selfies, but don't make their Instagram's private.

That's all I could think of. If I missed any traits of a tween girl, tell me in the comments! Also, check out the poll down below and follow me on Instagram, tardisturtle_noor

Saturday

Sewing Saturday- Heart Chain

Hello everyone! I'm finally doing a Sewing Saturday! Yay! Before I start, I just want to tell you, the pictures aren't so good and the end result is the same. I took these pictures 2 days ago on the second attempt of making them so it isn't great. This takes a bit of practice but I've made 5 of them so far and the last 3 have been awesome. So I hope your end result doesn't look like my end result in this one. I'm sorry! I'll totally make another one and show you guys so you can see the real end result. Okay, let's get sewing!

Let's Make A Heart Chain!

Today's craft uses something called a charm pack. Charm packs are 36-42 precut 4x4 squares that sewers use for quilting. But since quilting is not so easy to do I decided to teach you all how to make something more fun with charm packs, a heart chain!

YOU WILL NEED:
4-10 squares (I used 4 because I didn't have much time)
A needle and thread or a sewing machine.
Scissors
Love to put in the hearts!

Step 1:

First, take a square and fold it in half. Pin at the top if wanted.

Step 2:

Now, cut from the fold a heart shaped piece. You should have two hearts now.

Step 3:

Put the two hearts together (wrong sides together) and sew along the edges with your machine or needle.

(Like I said, doesn't look amazing.)

Step 4:

Continue sewing all the hearts like you did with the first one.

Step 5:

Sew the hearts together anyway you think is best. I did it straight across all of the hearts.

Step 6:

Enjoy your heart chain and make more to give to everyone you love!

Probably my worst heart chain ever, but that's okay!

I hope you enjoyed today's craft and tomorrow we are doing Sunday Showcase so if you want your blog to be featured, just let me know in the comments. Or if you know of any other cool blog to be featured.

Review: The Book of Potencially Catastrophic Science

Hello everyone! Today I am going to be reviewing this book:

I don't want to say the title all over again because it's really long! (Not my image.)
This book is great for kids who love science and think science experiments are awesome. I don't usually read non-fiction but this one is pretty awesome. Not only does the book have science experiments, you can learn about history and how the experiment works.

For example: The first chapter in the book is about how humans created stone tools (the Stone Age, I believe) The book first explains about the Stone Age and teaches you that history part. After the history part comes the science part. The book explains how they did it. If the chapter was on Isaac Newton, the book would explain about gravity and Newton's Laws of Motion because that is what was in the history part. After all that explaining comes the science experiments which are fairly easy.

I really love this book and learning about all the different scientific breakthroughs throught history. Every science lover kid should get this book.

It Rained....grrr

Hello everyone! Guess what happened last night? It rained. No. I'm not happy about this. It was sunny for like the whole day and Mother Nature decided to make it rain. Boo. It stopped but everything was GROSS outside.

No Sun for us. *sobs loudly* WHY, WHY!

I couldn't get any pictures of my rain, so here is some green rain.

Anyways, yesterday I had a soccer game and since it was raining, the field was muddy. REALLY MUDDY. My shoe got stuck in the mud and I was running in a sock. A SOCK. It was really gross and then I fell and my whole body was just covered in mud. Like I said, really gross. At least we won our game, by one point which yours truly scored. Thank you, thank you very much.

SOOO, has it rained where you live? Do you play soccer? Leave a comment!

Thursday

Hatchet- A Book Review

Happy Thursday Everyone! Today, I'm going to share with you another book review! This book is called Hatchet by Gary Paulsen. Gary Paulsen is another fabulous author that I love.

13 year old Brian Robeson is in a pickle. In other words, he's in trouble. Big trouble. Brian is in a life or death situation. He was on his way to see his father in Canada when his single engine plane crashes. He discovers he's in the middle of the wilderness with a Windbreaker and a hatchet. He has to try to find food and water all by himself.

Brian isn't only troubled physically, he has some problems emotionally. His parents are divorced and he has been keeping a secret that has been tearing him apart slowly. He will have to control his feelings and use his brain to save himself.

Brian Robeson has no one. He has only one hatchet.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I thought Hatchet was a really good book. I'm not too crazy about survival stories but this one is actually really good. It is interesting how Brian has this crazy life where at one moment he was given this hatchet as a gift and the next, his pilot dies from a heart attack and he's alone in the Canadian wilderness. I do have to say, the book ended abruptly. (Is that how you spell it?) Hatchet is a great book worth reading. I got my book for $7.00 at Barnes and Nobles.

Rating: 4 stars
