I Know How You Feel

Hello everyone! Today's post is just going to be a little blogging/inspirational post if you will. I was looking back at old posts and thinking about when I started out, and how scared and worried I was.

Would people like my posts? Why wasn't anyone commenting on my posts? Am I a bad blogger?

And I know that a lot of new bloggers are emerging, which is great. I just wanted to tell all those new bloggers, and all those other bloggers:

I know how you feel.

Note: I am not saying I am a better blogger than anyone or that I am a big blog, I am simply stating that I have been blogging for a while now and I started out somewhere too :)

I started this blog in February 2014 and I had NO CLUE where I was going. I was scared, I was excited and I was anxious. I posted a lot and I used to get SO MAD because no one was seeing my posts and commenting on them.

You will not get 40,000 pageviews in the first month you begin blogging.

It takes time, loads of time, I've been doing this for almost 2 years and I don't have a million bajillion pageviews. You have to be patient with it, blogging shouldn't be a chore, it should be a hobby.

Do not give up if you don't get many comments, keep going.

And remember, you started blogging for ____ reason (which shouldn't be to become famous), so if you get mad about the fame of your blog, just think about why you started blogging. To remember this, I would suggest putting a reminder on your computer or on your desk.

Blogging is fun, it's not a job.

I know, I know, it gets tough to remember and sometimes you get stressed out a bit, that's okay! Getting stressed is human nature. Just take a deep breath, and relax. And just blog, open up the post writer and write a post, pour out your feelings. It helps.

You are a great blogger, and don't let anyone tell you that you're not,

Sometimes your brain likes to be mean to you, and tell you that you suck, that your blog sucks. But that's NOT TRUE. Your brain has a habit for hating everything you do, questioning and doubting. Don't listen to it. It's trying to make you mad, and you can't let your brain win. Fight it, and if you think what you're doing is right, do it!

Again, I understand, I really do.

I have been in your place (most likely), every blogger has (most likely) so don't get sad and think you'll never get to 2 years, because you will. You just have to believe in yourself, because none of us got to where we are by doubting ourselves :)

I believe in you, and you should too!

Remember, I'm always here to talk to if you ever need help or advice. You can email me here, my inbox is always open :)

Keep going, I know you can <3

Noor

  5. Very very true because I think bloggers need to know that blogging isn't about popularity and fame - it's about sharing opinions, or just writing them down for someone to maybe see and understand.

  8. Aww, this is such an amazing, inspiring post, Noor!! What you say is SO true. Everyone is a good blogger. There is no "bad" way to blog, just like there is no "right" way. And not giving up is SO important, especially if your feeling a little insecure. EVERY BLOGGER IS AN AMAZING BLOGGER, just as long as they're nice to everyone else :) Thanks for sharing this, I really think the blogosphere needs it! :)

Hey! Yes you, you're about to leave a comment, why thank you! Just remember, if you don't have nothing nice to say, don't say it at all.
