Hello everyone! Today I am going to talk about being a musician, a violinist to be specific, but first. 50 FOLLOWERS. WAIT WHAT. WHAT WHAT. Thank you soooooo sooo much, you are fabulous. Okay, now onto the post!
MUSICIAN PROBLEMS
Those super long measure rests. How the heck am I supposed to count 67 measures of rest. EXPLAIN.
The indents in your fingertips from pressing on the strings too hard. Only string players would understand my struggle.
When someone makes fun of the fact that you named your instrument. HEY! Lila the violin has feelings too you know!
When you are finally in the mood to practice but everyone else is asleep. Maybe if I just play quietly.....
Dying of boredom when the conductor is talking to other sections. PAY ATTENTION TO MEEEEEEE
When someone waltzes into the room when you're playing 4/4. (I got this one from Pinterest but it happens to me all the time) CAN'T YOU SEE THIS IS NOT A WALTZ.
Dealing with that one person who keeps messing up but makes the whole section have to play it over and over again. Just no. Stop. LEAVE
When the person next to you doesn't have the same bow movements as you. Okay, who's the wrong one here?
Okay, that's all for today! I hope you enjoyed and thanks again for 50 followers!
Mkay bye,
Noor

Urgh, musicians and the struggles. I'm in choir, and since there are only five people in my second soprano (mezzo-soprano, though I have a really long range) and they get lost a lot, I have to lead them and it gets tiring at times. I also know about the bows; my orchestra teacher last year, who has composed some really popular musical pieces-- is picky about that.
ReplyDeletexoxo Morning
Congratulations on 50 :D
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on 50 followers! I find that annoying too, when you are finally in the mood for playing everyone else is asleep ♥
ReplyDelete50 followers on what?????????????????????????????????????????????? Blogger, tumblr, instagram, google??????????????????????????
ReplyDeleteI can relate to this post SO much! I've played the violin since I was eight and yes, I named my violin too. ;) Her name is Violet. I hate how I get those weird indents from pressing on the string too hard, but playing an instrument is totally worth it. Also, everyone gives a death stare to that one person who always messes up. :P Awesome post!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great post! I can relate to some of these from band class, but I'm a flute player so some are different. Like super fast parts with really different finger positions, ugh ♥

Wow congrats on 50 followers, Noor! <3
ReplyDeleteI used to play guitar and I know the pain of string indents. I have never named my instrument, though, but I suppose that's probably for the more advanced and dedicated players. Also, doesn't it just bug you when pianos are used to 'make' the beat? I know they're both percussion instruments, but to me that's the job of the drummer...

I most of that I always say (in my mind) however I play the saxophone.
ReplyDeleteI play violin too. Buddies! BTW, I named my violin Jordan. And the last one annoys me too,

Hire musicians who can multi task if you're on a limited budget. Select an instrumentalist who can play more than one instrument or can play all parts of the ceremony, as well as accompany the vocalist.copyright songs
