The Summer Blogger Book Club

Hello everyone! New design, yay! Do you guys like it? I don't think I'm going to change it for a while :)

I have a huge announcement to make! I'm starting a summer blogger book club! I thought it would be a good idea, since most of the bloggers here love books! Alright, let's get into the rules and stuff :) Last year I did a summer camp, this year it's a book club

Who can join?
Anyone! As long as you're able to talk about the book (on your blog, in the comments, etc)

What kinds of books are we going to be reading?
Any kinds you want, leave suggestions in the comments :D

What if I don't have the book that we're going to be reading?
We'll have multiple books for each session, and if you don't have any of those books, you can read any book you want :D I'll always leave links to cheap copies of the books, just in case you want to get it.

How long do I have to read the book?
2 weeks, we will always have 2 weeks between each session.

How are we going to choose books?
Using your suggestions on this book, I'll choose 3-4 books and you can choose which book you want to read.

Why did you start this?
For fun! I really love reading and I know a lot of you do too. Plus, kids tend not to read much during the summer, so I guess this encourages summer reading :P

What do I do now?

-To sign up, all you have to do is let me know in the comments that you're joining and suggest at least 1 book for the club.

-The club starts July 1st and on my post that day, I will let you know which books you get to read.

-If you can, share the club with friends, or on your blog! The more the merrier. (Link to this post, so they know the rules) :)

-You can add this to your sidebar!

I hope you join! Leave book suggestions in the comments below :D Also, if you have a question, leave a comment and I'll get back to you as soon as possible :)

EDIT: There's now an official Goodreads group for this, you can find it here
P.S- Once you join, suggest some books :)

Mkay bye,
Noor

  5. This sounds like a fabulous idea! I'll be too busy with Camp NaNo and writing matters to participate, but I'll Tweet it out for my followers :) I'd suggest a Victoria Schwab book, just because they're like ALL GOOD, although my fav is A Darker Shade of magic. And maybe World War Z, or Station Eleven.

  6. I'll definitely join in! :) Great idea! I would have to suggest Ungifted, by Gordon Korman. Two other books you might enjoy would be Moxie and the Art of Rule Breaking, by Erin Dionne, and The Honest Truth, by Dan Gemeinhart. I am a little on the younger side of most of the bloggers in our little community; however, I do read young adult books and books of that sort. I'm now very excited for July 1st!
